Micke is in the south of sweden to compete in the last Nordic Drifting Series event for 2009. When i talk to him at the phone he told me that he scratched som walls but nothing seriose. He qulifiad in to the top 16. He had 5 driver infront of him so he qulifiad 6. Really good. We hope for the best in the top 16 tomorow!

EVENT» Helsenki Drift Festival
Recently home from Helsenki cityrace in Finland. Some of Helsenki streets and one parkinglot was closed just for this event. The weather report was promising unstady wather, but the weather was perfectly sunny all weekend. This supernice event should be arrange here in Sweden also.
The track was a copy of the Redbull world championchip track in Longbeach, but this track was smaller. In RBWC they had a entryspeed at 160km/h, in this event it was a snit at 75 km/h. With my bmw I had the highest entryspeed at 86 km/h.
The car is starting to work after som tweaks and I’m really exited to put in my turboengine..

EVENT» Gatebil Rudskogen
Tiresmoke, bikinis, suntan. That some words that can describe this years first Gatebil Festival in Norway. Alot of cars and people had gather at Rudskogen beautiful racetrack. It was many cars and visitors at Gatebils first event of the year. For the swedrift team is was a really nice 4 days. Burning sun all wekend, no problem with ther car, it was only to switch tyres and go out on the track again. The aftertrack was really nice to, livemusik and gatebilbabes cant go wrong. Next gatebil event will be in Sweden at Mantorp Park 26.28/06/09.

Long Beach, Calif. - November 16, 2008 - Rhys Millen won the title of "World Champion" at the inaugural Red Bull Drifting World Championship. History was made with the top drifters from around the world competing for the largest prize purse in drifting history at the Port of Long Beach.
17 past and present drifting champions from the top drifting organizations in the world gathered in Long Beach, CA for the first Red Bull Drifting World Championship. First place qualifier Rhys Millen and his Red Bull Pontiac Solstice outperformed the competition to win the largest single prize of $25,000 in drifting history. Tanner Foust is the first driver to win the Formula Drift Championship two years in a row (2007-2008). Both years Tanner drove the Rockstar/AEM sponsored 2005 twin turbo Nissan 350Z. Tanner is making a name for himself in drifting and rally motorsports and in television by hosting Redline TV, Super Cars Exposed, and Top Gear USA. Foust is a classy racer always pushing his car to its limits, so in my estimation, there couldn’t be a better Formula Drift Champion – congratulations!
